NEW YORK, Aug 16, 2008 / FW/ — Known for his demi-couture creations, Toni Maticevski returns to New York this September to present his Spring 2009 collection that was inspired by a book called ‘Inventive Paris Clothes 1909 – 1939’ with text by Diana Vreeland and photographs by Irving Penn.
Maticevski says of his inspiration “my collection is inspired by the fashion of this period – a restrained opulence – rich, luxurious, exotic and intoxicating. The silhouette alters slightly; proportions evade fashion; taste and passion for the craft were uncompromised”.
