Angel Schlesser Spring 2009

MADRID, Sep 19, 2008 / FW/ — Angel Schlesser’s professional career in fashion began in 1983 when he collaborated with Juan Rufete. He made his first men’s collection in 1984, a brief women’s collection in 1986, and presented his first collection at the Cibeles Fashion Show in 1988, a collaboration which was to continue over successive years.

For Spring 2009, Angel Schlesser proposed a modern collection that surprisingly enough just touched on every trend – beige color palette, shiny & metallic, harem-inspired pants, one-shoulders gowns and dresses.

Winner of the 1991 Golden «T» award from Telva magazine for the «Best New Designer», Angel Schlesser was literally seen by the whole world when he took part in the inaugural ceremony of the 25th Olympic Games in Barcelona with the design of two models in 1992.

He opened the first Angel Schlesser boutique in Madrid in 1996 and launched the first «Ángel Schlesser» fragrance and women’s swimwear line in 1999. The turn of the century was a time for expansion when he opened boutiques in Palma de Mallorca, Bilbao and Valencia.

The expansion continued in 2001 with boutique openings in Santander and Seville. The year also marked the launch of the Angel Schlesser bridal collection and the his first men’s fragrance and swimwear line.
