Blugirl Spring 2009
Blugirl Spring 2009

MILAN, Sep 22, 2008 / FW/ — She’s young, she’s adorable and acts like a grown up. Blugirl Spring 2009 is meant for the Internet generation growing up, which by the way, its leading edge turns 18 this year. And, Anna Molinari just gave them the perfect wardrobe.

Ironically, the Internet generation demographics was coined in the U.S. and originally meant for the U.S. market. American designers totally missed this demographics during the recently concluded New York Fashion Week, probably because of the sagging U.S. economy that Uncle Sam is actually doing a trillion dollar bailout.

Hence, finding a collection here in Milan that just fits this generation perfectly is truly a sight for sore eyes. A recurring theme of ruffles and asymmetrical necklines on dresses make the collection look sweet and sophisticated at the same time.

Conquistador-inspired shorts, this style even seen in the hemlines of strapless cocktail dresses, Capri-length trousers paired with bustier blouses and bolero type jackets – the Blugirl dominates everywhere she goes and anywhere she is.

Pink, blue, black, white and of course beige, a strong color palette makes up this delectable collection. Eveningwear that is proposed with floor-length hemlines or just above the ankle is always accompanied by a pochette in colorful silk satin.

Accessories play a major role in the collection. Leather bags with handles complete the look for daywear. Bangles and necklaces in plexiglass take Blugirl into a futuristic leap while keeping her feet on the ground with platform sandals.
