Jesus del Pozo Spring 2009

MADRID, Sep 21, 2008 / FW/ — Jesus del Pozo started his fashion career in 1974 as a menswear designer. Translating his technical knowledge in cutting and tailoring into womenswear, Jesus del Pozo unveiled his first women’s collection in 1980 at the Cibeles Fashion Show in Madrid.

Through the years, he had been invited to show in other places that include Tokyo and Paris. Yet, he always comes back to Madrid, preferring the familiar beat of home. And for Spring 2009, the Spanish designer proposes cosmopolitan totally urban silhouettes.

Meant for the active and dynamic woman, Jesus del Pozo created relaxed volumes that reveled in its elegance. From the ubiquitous beige, to dramatic black and metallic shades of blue, the colors invite you to enjoy the day.

Refreshing green hues, aquamarine, water lily, mint make up the day wear while smoke grey and jet black are recommended for evening.

Choosing ethereal fabrics that are almost weightless, Jesus del Pozo opted for light tulles, gazers and silks for their gentle textures and subtle transparency. With the sensation of movement achieved through expert draping, the Jesus del Pozo woman is a dreamy yet real.
