Lemoniez Spring 2009
Lemoniez Spring 2009

MADRID, Sep 19, 2008 / FW/ — A native of Sebastian, Spain, Fernando Lemoniez opened his first boutique/studio in his hometown with his own collections. Expanding his business during the next seven years, it would be 1991 before he graced the Pasarela Cibeles catwalk as the Palacio & Lemoniez collections.

In 1995, he moved to Paris and started distributing his line in the U.S. and also made his debut on the official calendar of Paris Pret-a-porter in 1996. That same year he designed an evening collection for Genny in Italy. In 1997, the first Lemoniez collection was launched.

Fernando Lemoniez returned to Madrid in 2000 and in the February 2000, first Lemoniez collection to be shown at Pasarela Cibeles in Madrid.

For Spring 2009, Lemoniez touched on the past decade’s expression of freedom. Maxi day dresses in silk muslin for a star-filled night; the diversity of the color beige of a sandy desert fills the color palette of a large part of a woman’s wardrobe;

Plaited straw salacots dyed in oranges, pinks, turquoises and blacks shade her urban explorations. Thick embroidery in primary flower cotton in seasonal coats and mini dresses.

Pendants, bracelets, earrings, belts and bags, rescued from mythical concerts re-vindicating the past, define a woman with personality, imperturbable before the whims dictated by the trends of fashion.
