MILAN, Sep 22, 2008 / FW/ — On Thursday, when Emilio Pucci unveils its Spring 2009 collection, it will also be Matthew Williamson’s farewell collection for the Italian maison. The British designer is leaving the house and Norwegian designer Peter Dundas is replacing Williamson, according to an announcement from LVMH last Friday, Sep 19th.

Formerly the Creative Director of Emanuel Ungaro, Peter Dundas left the French fashion house in July 2007. Before that, he worked at Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix and Roberto Cavalli.

Peter Dundas will assume his new post in October 1. Matthew Williamson, the exiting Creative Director at Emilio Pucci has been there for three years. The reasons for his departure were not specified.
