Pollini Spring 2009
Pollini Spring 2009

MILAN, Sep 27, 2008 / FW/ — Debuting on Pollini and on the Milan catwalk is British born designer Jonathan Saunders who brought his mastery of prints to new heights as he proposed a very modern and upbeat dressing for the ephebic fashionista.

Color blocks and prints paralleled his use of flou and tailleur, as bias cut organza skirt provided fluidity to tailored tops, creating a perfect balance.

It is a marriage made in heaven for Pollini and Saunders. Known for its innovative use of prints, Saunders is considered a masterful print maker. This expertise showed in his debut collection for the label.

That Jonathan Saunders also shows in New York for his eponymous label is also helping Pollini that his name is well known among the American fashionistas. Even with the current economic slowdown in the U.S., the American market by just its sheer size is still a force to be reckoned with.

With fans on both sides of the Atlantic and support from editors in New York, London and Milan, Jonathan Saunders is on top of the world, with Pollini very visible on the horizon.
