Tracy Reese Spring 2009

NEW YORK, Sep 7, 2008 / FW/ — Unveiling her Black Label Collection for the first time, Tracy Reese raised the bar onto herself as she used couture techniques to create the artful and delicate pieces that could only be described as sophisticated.

Sculpted cocktail dresses achieved with the clever use of gores and godets were proposed in solid summery colors or pastel prints inspired by the Japanese chrysanthemums and hazy blue skies.

Structured leathers were softened with touches of leaf appliqué while flowers were handmade and hand stitched on the skirts and/or bodices giving it that feel of being touched by a breeze.

Relaxed and draped silhouettes feature hues of a sumptuous green garden that are intensified with Van Gogh inspired prints of the same palette.

And though the season is still early, but this one is in the running of becoming the best collection of the season.
