Victorio & Lucchino Spring 2009
Victorio & Lucchino Spring 2009

MADRID, Sep 20, 2008 / FW/ — Presenting both menswear and womenswear in one catwalk, José Víctor Rodríguez Caro and José Luis Medina del Corral designing under the label Victorio & Lucchino manipulated textures to give the collection a three-dimensional nature.

Following this season’s trend of a using the color beige, Victorio & Lucchino used silks, taffetas, crêpe knit, satin cotton, georgette and linen to create tent mini dresses and harem-inspired pants paired with short cropped jackets.

Metallic touches for a sophisticated feel and prints for strength, the dresses caressed the woman’s silhouette as the flounce takes a prominent role as it enveloped the female form.

Asymmetrical necklines, slits, finished off with gathered festoons, perforated adornments in silk twist and applications in softened precious stones allow us to see the meticulous care given to each garment drawing it close to haute couture, where unfinished shapes afford a fresh, avant-garde air.

For men, masculinity with a strong leaning on casual and the informal is balance with elegant tailoring. Casual wear seeks the materials for its creation in fabrics such as cotton duck, cotton and knit, with technical touches affording modernity.
