Cacharel Spring 2009
Cacharel Spring 2009

PARIS, Oct 2, 2008 / FW/ — Staying true to Cacharel’s DNA, design duo Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto infused their whimsical vision of prints for the French maison’s 50th anniversary collection.

1970s flower power, wacky combinations like purple and orange, or the traditional yellow and gray/yellow plaid, it looks like Eley Kishimoto had a lot of fun creating these girly dresses.

Yet, somehow, something was missing. Though there is actually a revival of the brand, especially with the renewal of some prints from the Cacharel archives. There is nothing new that is being proposed.

Not necessarily a bad collection; actually its very wearable and commercially viable. Yet, somehow you get that nagging feeling that there could be more.
