MADRID, Oct 22, 2008 / FW/ — Described as fresh, oxygenizing, volatile, light, delicate, refreshing, sensual and masculine, the Jan iu Mes Spring 2009 collection was created using cotton voile with silicone finishes, poplins, 100% silk gauzes, cotton knit glazes, polyurethane fabrics with memory.
The brainchild of design duo Jan Zamora Royo and Alfonso Peña Carreras, Jan iú Més defends a sober aesthetic perspective based on rigid silhouettes to show a rationalist and mathematical vision in the clothing via austere shape abstraction.
Established as a menswear firm, Jan iú Més is based in Barcelona and unveils its collections at Pasarela Gaudí, Pasarela Abierta de Murcia, Noovo festival Santiago de Compostela and recently at 080 Barcelona Fashion. They were also finalists in the «Gen Art Styles» 2007 International Design Competition of New York.
Jan iú Més have shown their collections at international showrooms such as «Rendez-Vous Homme» in Paris and the «Projeckt Galerie» in Berlin.
Their press exposure includes magazines such as B-guided, Collezioni Uomo, Neo2, Kult Magazine (Italia), Tendencias, TimeOut (Tel-Aviv), MetroPop (Los Angeles), Surface (New York), «Diane Pernet and A Shaded View on Fashion», to name but a few.
