ROME, Oct 24, 2008 / — Missoni is sponsoring the event organized by AMFAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research. The black tie gala and auction, under the patronage of the International Film Festival of Rome, will be held in the charming and historic Galleria Borghese inside the Villa Borghese Pinciana.
The color, the energy, the passion, the optimistic approach to life and the strong personality of Missoni will permeate the atmosphere of the cocktail hour, the dinner and the party with a décor that mixes elegance, refinement and enjoyment.
During the event guests will show their commitment to Missoni by bidding on two exceptional items: a honey colored python bag and the “Gemma” long dress in printed silk and cotton, to be custom tailored for the winner, a testament to Missoni’s focus on creating an image of beauty that is always “personal”.
Special guests will share in showing their commitment to Missoni by wearing clothes of the house that evening, a confirmation of the value that they recognize in the label. Isabella Orsini, Violante Placido, Mena Suvari, Monica Setta, Mariella Milani, Beppe Fiorello, Donatella Finocchiaro, Rodrigo Santoro, Adriano Giannini and Gael Garcìa will all be seated at a table with the Missoni family.
