PARIS, Oct 5, 2008 / FW/ — With futurism as one of the biggest trends in Paris, Veronique Branquinho followed, but she did it on her own terms. Like a prism, she refracted the futuristic view and seamlessly morphed it for today.

Suit jackets with extended sleeves and rounded at the hem were paired with loose-fitting shorts. Cinched at the waist with a thin belt, this look could easily the future office girl at Madison Avenue.

Colors of iridescent fabrics were refracted, thus scattering it and creating a surreal landscape that is soft and soothing to the eyes.

And while the others were bordering on sci-fi and video game personas, Veronique Branquinho never went to cyberspace or into the future. In fact, she never left earth, and that is the reason why her Spring 2009 collection is so precious.
