A collection entitled ‘Sunset Empire,’ Andrea Crews tries to manifest the will to build a parallel world – metaphorically for a philosophical fantasy and also as a reality in terms of a vision for fashion.
As the name implies, it is a tribute to the sunset, from dusk to dawn, when something ends and something begins. A gang of galactic amazons, cosmic printed patterns, deep colors, unstable forms, sensual materials and provocative poses, Andrea Crews manages to make fashion a conversation piece as well as a functional item as it designed – a body covering.
