PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii (Nov. 15, 2008) Yeoman 2nd Class Richard Moseley, assigned to Navy Recruiting Station Kaneohe, shops for the new service uniform at the Navy Exchange Uniform Shop aboard Naval Station Pearl Harbor. The service uniform is intended for year-round wear and will replace the summer white and winter blue uniforms. The mandatory wear date for all E1-E6 personnel is July 2010. Actully no it is YN2 because CTA’s were required to become YN’s at the begining of 2009,.

As a former E4 I think its outrageous that E1 to E6s are now authorized khaki uniforms. If I were a CPO or an officer Id rightly be ticked off. For shame that the Navy now wants to look like the Marines. How sad they are getting rid of the old tropical whites and blues.
