NEW YORK, Dec 11, 2008 / FW/ — Tuesday night, Cynthia Nixon, famous for her role as Miranda in ‘Sex & The City’ was honored by New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) for Outstanding Vision and Achievement during the 28th Annual Muse Awards.
Held at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City, Ms. Nixon arrived wearing a navy wool crepe patchwork pleated dress from the Fall 2008 Calvin Klein Collection, designed by Francisco Costa, Creative Director, Calvin Klein Collection for women. Ms. Nixon also wore black patent pumps from the Calvin Klein Collection.
Founded in 1977 by a handful of women who felt New York needed a network and education forum for women in the entertainment industry, NYWIFT is a nonprofit organization for professional women in film, television and new media.
With more than 1,700 professionals including EMMY and Academy Award® winners, who work in all areas of the entertainment industry and part of a network of 40 international women in film chapters, representing more than 10,000 members worldwide, NYWIFT produces over 50 innovative programs and special events annually; advocates for women in the industry; and, recognizes and encourages the contributions of women in the field.
