A network insider reportedly told Star magazine that the spin-off will focus on the younger lives of Blake Lively and Penn Badgely’s parents in the show, played by Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle.
According to the report, no original cast members will leave the show to join the spin-off, but instead two new actors will be hired. Producers plan to reveal the new couple to fans during a flashback scene in an upcoming episode. The new show will begin filming in February.
