Byblos Menswear Fall 2009
Byblos Menswear Fall 2009

MILAN, Jan 22, 2009 / FW/ — Manuel Facchini’s penchant for futurism put Byblos in the cutting edge of this season’s collections. Androgynous yet unmistakably masculine, Facchini’s silhouettes were based on classic cuts with changed proportions giving it an avant-garde feel.

Still, Manuel Facchini’s fans know that the designer does not really go for avant-garde look. A serious designer with an artistic focus, the Central Saint Martin grad has always managed to titillate the imagination of his audience.

For Fall 2009, with his optimistic vision during a time when we need it most, he actually found a perfect balance between artistry, being fashion-forward and functionality; and thus making this collection highly covetable and commercially viable.
