Ports 1961 Fall 2009 Preview

DALLAS, Jan 31, 2009 / FW/ — For Fall 2009, Tia Cibani is making a sojourn to the Mughal courts of India. So, what can we expect? Clothes based on the angarkha, which is the national Indian dress, one of the legacies of the Mughal Empire, which ruled India from 1526-1858.

And as with the angarkha, expect apparel that defines the waist and the skirt explicitly cut on the round to enhance the flare. We can also expect three-piece suits and dresses again, because the angarkha is composed of three pieces.
