MADRID, Feb 28, 2009 / FW/ — One of the stalwarts of Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week having shown at the Cibeles Fashion Show since 1988, Angel Schlesser stayed true to his signature style of creating wearable and highly covetable clothing that are timeless but always on trend.
Proposing double breasted outercoat and pant suit sets with short cropped jackets for day, he added opera gloves for drama. Capri-length trousers in gray were matched with Victorian style white shirts. Stand out includes a collarless coat with a huge bow as the only adornment.
It is at night that the Angel Schlesser woman owns though. Separates trimmed with fur – as a mutton sleeve for the top and as a wide hemline for the skirt was the order of the day. Bustier dresses that are styled exactly the way they are; but sometimes given a removable fur sleeve!
It’s luxe without going overt.
