A.F. Vandervorst Fall 2009
A.F. Vandervorst Fall 2009

PARIS, Mar 7, 2009 / FW/ — With futurism as one of the major trends this season, A. F. Vandervorst, the designers Filip Arickx and An Vandevorst vision involved modern day gypsies who travel light and wear comfortable clothes yet manage to stay as chic as ever.

Comfortable trousers that are best for traveling as they wear very well are paired with tunics with dolman sleeves. Dark blue and olive green stripes that fan out from the center become the focal point.

A predominantly black collection, which by the way is something very familiar to A.F. Vandervorst fans, actually emphasized the horizontal stripes that morphed to diagonal stripes on shirts. The “stripes” did not end with the use of complimentary colors. Using pleats, a striping effect was also created.

Still leaning on the high concept side, the collection is also very wearable thus expect to see A.F. Vandervorst’s gypsy in major cities next fall.
