Ana Locking Fall 2009
Ana Locking Fall 2009

MADRID, Mar 26, 2009 / FW/ — In her press notes, Ana Locking wrote :

A rigorous beginning of very marked structures which create, on the one hand, loose volumes in sleeves, contrasting with the stiffness of reinforced vests and figure-hugging trousers as if they were armour, replacing engraved metal with pleats in herring-bone and organza and taffetas.

In the first appearances, the undulating movement of the patterns is timidly anticipated to then freely play with the fabrics creating new volumes in dresses, skirts and coats in a textile combination ranging from laminated wools, pressed felt, flannel, and paillettes to silks in Duchesse Satin and jacquard chiffon, enveloping the figure with layers, modeling a line of de-structured flounces which cross over each other in comings and goings along the body.

This anarchy of shapes and volumes is continuously combined with another more rigorous line with jackets and small bodies which are highly structured and rich in pattern cuts and texture combinations.
Strictness in the color range: blacks, grays, old gold, cherry and chocolate.
