El Delgado Buil Fall 2009
El Delgado Buil Fall 2009

MADRID, Mar 31, 2009 / FW/ — At the risk of attracting PETA’s wrath, El Delgado Buil announced that its collection for Fall 2009 would be about super furry animals. El Delgado Buil did send out fur, but it was not a fur fest as one would expect. It turned out to be a tongue-in-cheek treatment of animal skin.

The fur was real, it was obvious; but other than their own vision of fur coats and hats, the pieces might have gotten PETA’s usual attention, but El Delgado Buil fans would love. A fur boa, a pair of fur shorts, a fur vest and a fur jacket in dolman sleeves, these are items for the woman who loves fur in her wardrobe.

And there were scales too! But, don’t worry; the scales are fabric manipulations, same as ribbons and eyelets. There were no fish scales or snakeskin in the collection. With velvet, wool and cashmere, grays, blues and reddish pinks were the main color palette.
