Marithe & Francois Girbaud Fall 2009

PARIS, Mar 9, 2009 / FW/ — An all black background that slowly turned white to show the hidden message that read ‘Washdelux’ introduced the latest collection from Marithe & Francois Girbaud.

Exuding a sense of humor with a dash of offbeat, the new ‘Washdelux’ is luxury alternative dressing as envisioned by the French husband-and-wife design team. Infusing the well-known couture heritage that is always forefront in the mind of a French designer while keeping the brands’ street-wise creds and hip heritage, Girbaud entered high-street fashion seamlessly with the attitude that they have always been there!

Playful and teasing, Washdelux makes use of high tech fabric that includes ‘techno memory silk’ that changes shapes as the wearer moves; there is also NSFL (Non Surgical Face Lift), which paved the way to a fabric amalgam made of glossy satin, delicate lace, heavy wool or strict stretch making the garment always fit perfectly.

With Washdelux, a new kind of luxury – easy, accessible and functional – is born.
