PARIS, Mar 8, 2009 / FW/ — When you’re hot, you’re hot and current Parisian IT label Isabel Marant seems to be on everyone’s mind as fashion editors wear them everywhere. Case in point, a certain Vogue editor was seen wearing Isabel Marant shoes seen on the runway during the Veronique Leroy Fall 2009 show which was held during the same day! (photo at below)
So, it was not surprising to find fashion’s elite at the Isabel Marant Fall 2009 catwalk presentation as French designer sent out wearable tunics, suit jackets with pagoda sleeves and rolled to ¾ length and animal print skirts, mini dresses or culottes worn with this season’s ubiquitous black.
Everything is lovely and many of the pieces will find its way to a woman’s wardrobe for Fall. Some fashion grouse would say that this collection is too commercial. My take, there is nothing wrong in designing items that can easily be a commercial success during a time of recession.
