Kenzo Fall 2009
Kenzo Fall 2009

PARIS, Mar 14, 2009 / FW/ — Continuing his Russian jaunt that started last January with his first ever menswear collection at Kenzo, Antonio Marras brought the three faces of Russia, the country before the USSR, the USSR and today’s Russia.

The romantic flowers in the knitted coat, the olive green “bandage sweater” adorned with organic shaped appliqués and the embroidered beige chiffon with a matching brown cape which was also embroidered, combined old Russia, the USSR and modern Russia in a neat package that shows the best of the European subcontinent.

That the collection is beautiful is a given. Since Antonio Marras took the helm of Kenzo, his vision has always been on target for loyal Kenzo fans and the future Kenzo fans that Marras has been attracting. While keeping the DNA of the Japanese house intact, Antonio Marras has also moved it forward by adding his own style and vision.
