Manish Arora Fall 2009
Manish Arora Fall 2009

PARIS, Mar 12, 2009 / FW/ — The press notes said that the Manish Arora Fall 2009 / Winter 2010 collection was “a fantasy world of enchanted and mythical creatures.” Yet, when the final exit – flowers opening and closing their petals as the model walked, was shown, the first thing that came to mind was Floral Fallal, one of the dress spheres on the video game Final Fantasy X-2.

(For those who needs a little more explanation about Final Fantasy X-2, please go to Final Fantasy X-2: Video Game Dressing)

Arora who had collaborated with CRYSTALIZED Swarovski Elements to create this collection created flying dolphins, leopard butterflies, white peacocks and four legged birds to bring the magic of the jungle to the audience.

A moose-head appeared from the front of a dress, peacocks made of Swarovski crystals emblazoned a tunic and a bird made entirely of crystals perched on the shoulder of a dress.

Fascinating and imaginative, Manish Arora had become one of the must see shows during Paris Fashion Week.
