PARIS, Mar 14, 2009 / FW/ — The finale featured five top models wearing metallic off the shoulder mini dresses and knee high boots with designer Sophie Albou as she took her bow. With the background all lit up like a gigantic disco ball, the Studio 54 feeling is hard to shake.
The collection that was presented was also from the 1970s era – miniskirts, jumpsuits, hot pants, and extended sleeve knitted cardigan. The famous safari jacket was made into a shirt dress, and the wrap dress is now belted.
A coherent collection until the finale, i.e. Sophie Albou should have taken the bow alone or she should have made the five models with her wear something else other than their metalized mini dresses. It took away instead of added to that carefree 1970s feeling.
