MADRID, Apr 24, 2009 / FW/ — Way back in 1992, Juan Duyos started working with Manuel Pina while also starting his first collection in conjunction with Cecilia Paniagua, which led to the founding of Duyos & Paniagua in 1995.

Under the label Duyos & Paniagua, Juan collaborated with Antonio Pernas for several knitwear collections (1996 – 1999); presented collections at Pasarela Cibeles (1997 – 1999).

In the Spring 2000 season (Sep 1999), the Duyos label was born with the unveiling of the “Remember and Keep it” collection which garnered the Best Cibeles Collection Award.

In April 2000, Duyos collaborated with the Rafael Amargo Company for the costume design of the ballet “Amargo.” While continuing to show his collection at Pasarela Cibeles since Duyos’ debut in Sep 1999, the label also participated in the L’Oreal Paris Fashion Show held in Madrid in October 2001.

In November 2003, Duyos received the «Glamour» Award for the Best National Designer of the Year and in January 2004, he was named member of the Scientific Committee of the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED).

Expanding into eyewear, the Duyos Vista eyewear was launched in conjunction with Visual Global in October 2005 which was immediately followed by the launch of Duyos + Broch & Broch handbag collection in 2006. Duyos’ second line, “Fan de Duyos” was also launched that year.

In May 2007, the label presented its first ever wedding collection, under the auspices of Novissima and with the Puerta de Europa towers as the setting. In May 2008, the groom and ceremony suits collection debuted at Barcelona Bridal Week.
