Oye Swimwear

NEW YORK, Apr 30, 2009 / FW/ — With an intriguing name OYE, an acronym for Open Your Eyes, but phonetically pronounced as “Oy” a sailor’s term for eureka, twin sisters Ayca and Zeynep Sadikoglu want you to try their girly and flirty swimsuits for the summer.

Inspired by the romantic notions of the sea, designing twins Ayca and Zeynep proposes classic triangle bikini to more provocative monokinis. Adorned with intricate, antique-inspired jewels, brilliant cut crystals and alluring gold chains, the term hardware takes a brand new meaning.

In a color palette ranging from subdued solids such as smoky greys and dusty pinks to crisp white and basic black, every swimsuit’s sensibility is revealed in its name, which is inspired by film, fashion, and pop culture icons.

The “Linklater”, named after director Richard Linklater, rocks sparkly gold chain links, the “Serena” is as chic and beautiful as the character on Gossip Girl, and the sleek, aqua-hued “Phelps” pays homage to Olympian Michael Phelps.

Matching earrings, figure-flattering tunics, and bejeweled flip flops complete the latest OYE collection.

OYE’s Resort 2008 Beachwear Collection retails for $300-$500 and will be available January 2008 at select boutiques across the United States including Breeze (New York City) and Atrium (Miami) as well as online at www.couturecandy.com.

OYE is also available at select retail locations worldwide, including Escape by Vivre at the Cove Atlantis (Paradise Island), Tahiti (St. Tropez), A Toutes Les Filles (Paris), Beymen (Istanbul), Juicy Lucy (London), and Boutique Smile (Geneva).
