NEW YORK, Apr 6, 2009 / FW/ — With Simon Collins, Dean of Fashion, Parsons The New School of Design and design students around, it would seem that Francisco Costa & Italo Zucchelli decided to be college professors all of a sudden.

But, don’t worry though; the 2008 CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year and the nominee for the 2009 CDFA Menswear Designer of the Year will continue to regale you with their womenswear and menswear. The reason why Simon Collins and Parsons students were at the Calvin Klein Collection store on Madison Avenue was because the New York-based fashion house hosted the Parson’s Fashion Benefit 2009 Pre-Party Thursday, April 2.

Joining Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli in previewing the installation of the top collections of select Parsons graduating seniors are Leighton Meester, Dree Hemingway, Poppy Delevingne, Lydia Hearst Shaw, Alexandra Richards, Jason Rogers, Nick Adams, Dangerous Muse’s Mike Furey, Kathryn Neale Shaffer; models Behati Prinsloo, Alanna Zimmer, Kasia Struss, Madisyn Ritland, Cameron Russell, Zuzana Gregorova, Maryna Linchuk, Lindsay Ellingson, Jamie Strachan and Vladimir Ivanov.

And as you might have expected, all of them are wardrobed by Calvin Klein. The women’s looks were designed by Francisco Costa, Women’s Creative Director, Calvin Klein Collection, and the men’s looks were designed by Italo Zucchelli, Men’s Creative Director, Calvin Klein Collection.

Other notables in attendance included Glenda Bailey, Hal Rubenstein, Cindy Weber Cleary, Christopher Bollen, Steven Kolb, Jennifer Creel, Justin Gunta, Sebastian Stan, Olivia Chantecaille, Lauren Remington-Platt, Genevieve Jones, Adam Lippes, Kay Unger, Joe Gromek, Eric Villency, Andrew Saffir, Daniel Benedict, and models Nimue, and Mark Cox.

Later this month, Parsons The New School for Design will honor Calvin Klein, Inc.’s President & CEO Tom Murry as well as Francisco Costa, at the school’s 61st annual benefit which celebrates visionaries in the field as well as showcases the top graduating students collections. The benefit will be held in New York on April 29, 2009 at Cipriani Wall Street.
