With these lines, G-Star continues the creative fusion that has defined the brand for almost twenty years; styles and fits to create unique looks for everybody.

DENIM

G-Star Fall 2009 Presents 3-D DenimNew denim cuts and silhouettes remain the core of G-Star’s seasonal offer. For men, the groundbreaking three dimensional architecture of the Arc Pant has been further developed in the Fince Arc Pant. The ‘twisting’ architecture has been expanded to include the whole leg, creating a distinctive, new denim silhouette. Additionally, unexpected features and details, such as leather and zippers are added to established designs such as the G-Star Elwood.

For women, complex seam and structure detailing is further explored in the Minic Breaker and Exper Breaker pant. Volume is played with in the Cube Super Bell pant, with its super flared leg and the Rhapsodie Cosmo, with its tapered leg.

DENIM JACKET

After an absence of seven years, 2009 sees the return of an icon; the jean jacket as re-imagined by G-Star. This jacket brings a dash of street level edge to formal outfits, making it the perfect expression of G-Star’s fusion philosophy. Flexible and timeless, the jean jacket can be dressed up by men and women alike to form an essential staple of anybody’s wardrobe. Available in seven distinct washes, the denim jacket forms part of this season’s fashion proposal.

G-Star Fall 2009 Presents 3-D DenimCOMPLEMENTARY RANGES

The two complementary themes of G-Star’s brand, luxury and functionality, are individually explored in the Retro-Modern and Bronco ranges.

The effortlessly stylish chic of 1960s Paris was the inspiration for the range of tailored pieces that form the Retro-Modern theme, a collection of fitted shirts, jackets and pants.

In contrast, the rugged, outdoor-inspired Bronco range, fuses the extreme, natural world of the Canadian logger with the military battlefield, adding the heavy wool of the lumberjack and the nylon and canvas of the professional soldier to our Raw Denim base.

Four stand-alone collections complete the season.

G-Star Fall 2009 Presents 3-D DenimCORRECT LINE BY G-STAR

Following its successful January introduction, the new Correct Line by G-Star range represents G-Star’s unique take on the clothing of the modern workplace. The luxurious natural textures of wool, cashmere, silk and leather are fashioned into a range of men and women’s, high-end city-wear; designed to complement G-Star’s core denim range. These tailored pieces will include formal blazers, fitted shirts and structured jackets and raincoats to provide a perfect modern work-wardrobe.

NY RAW SPECIAL EDITION

The pieces that make up each season’s NY RAW Special Edition are the finest examples of G-Star’s design philosophy. Hand-crafted in the most luxurious materials by in-house ateliers, they represent the pinnacle of each season’s offering.

This season’s collection was premiered in the catwalk show during New York Fashion Week last September. The inspiration for the collection has been the relaxed but glamorous tailoring of 1920s sporting activities, highlighted in the Fence Pant for men; and the elegance and luxury of that era, encapsulated in the Miller Pant for women. NY RAW Special Edition pieces are made available through G-Star’s global retail network.

ORGANIC RAW

G-Star believes that ecology does not have to be sacrificed for quality. The new Organic Raw range features pieces exclusively crafted from organic material; modern luxury garments that are kinder to the environment but still 100% G-Star.

Inspired by heavy-duty work-wear, the Organic Raw pieces feature large, irregularly-placed, functional pockets and suspenders and all are finished in a unique Organic Blue colour. G-Star’s popular three-dimensional architectonic design styles, such as the Arc Pant and G-Star Elwood, are carried over into Organic Raw items and the work wear inspired jackets feature similar three-dimensional sleeves, formed to the natural shape of the arm for a comfortable fit. The woman’s range includes a distinctive very long Organic Vintage Maxi Skirt with suspenders.

G-Star Fall 2009 Presents 3-D DenimG-STAR BY MARC NEWSON

Since 2003 G-Star has been developing a creative partnership with the celebrated industrial designer, Marc Newson. From the unveiling of his first collection, this relationship has gone on to deliver several further clothing collaborations and encompass Newson’s curation of one of Tokyo’s Raw Nights, where the latest cutting-edge fashion, art and music was presented to a select audience. G-Star’s latest collaboration with Marc has resulted in two new collections: G-Star by Marc Newson and G-Star by Marc Newson Limited.

The G-Star by Marc Newson pieces were unveiled at Bread and Butter Barcelona in January. These feature strong geometric airbrushed patterns and vibrant colours, each piece having an ultra-clean silhouette that draws upon Marc’s industrial design background to minimize seams and maximize comfort. This collection will be available through G-Star sales points as of 15 July 2009.

G-Star by Marc Newson Limited is an exclusive run of nine premium pieces that bring luxury to the street, presenting urban influenced designs executed in premium materials and crafted to the highest quality by Japanese and Italian ateliers. Only 100 pieces of each style will be made available worldwide through eighteen exclusively selected retailers, including Colette in Paris, 10 Corso Como in Milan, Seoul and Tokyo, Moss in New York and Moss and Maxfield in Los Angeles.
