Kris Van Assche Menswear Spring 2010PARIS, Jun 26, 2009 / FW/ — Giving a nod to the travel theme that has hit the men’s catwalks this season, Kris Van Assche designing for his eponymous label brought the east to the young men, instead of the young men heading east.

Proposing kurtas and djellebahs for Spring / Summer 2010, it looks like the Kris Van Assche gent has taken a sabbatical and just taking long walks at the beach or on mountain trails.

The only other explanation for his very casual style is that he is actually telecommuting, he can be at the beach or in a mountain lodge while working.

Loose fitting pants and loose fitting tunics, this collection about comfort.

For Kris Van Assche fans, this will seem like an continuation with the Belgian designer’s fascination with eastern costumes that was also seen in his Fall 2009 womenswear collection.
