NEW YORK, Jul 26, 2009 / FW/ — The distinctive yellow stitches is back on track as Dr. Martens once again enters the mindset of a new generation, this time, being shared by mother and daughter fashionistas.
The legendary English brand Dr. Martens with a trendy rock & roll attitude signs an exclusive model for Comptoir des Cotonniers, known for its creative flair for fashion trends including mother & daughter team ups for clothes.
The partnership brings a spontaneous meeting between two brands with distinguished universes and stories, common values of authenticity and sincerity, and inter-generational collections, both trendy and timeless.
For the occasion, Dr. Martens revisits its iconic model, the 1460 8-eye boots (this 1st design was created in England on 1st April 1960).
Made of soft and slightly shiny ‘Palatino’ leather, the exclusive model designed for Comptoir comes in a mousey grey colour, for a ‘barock’n roll’ state of mind that fits perfectly with the leading trend of this Autumn/Winter 2009 ready-to-wear collection.
This is not the first time that Dr. Martens is collaborating with another label. The English label had worked with Jean-Paul Gaultier and Corinne Cobson. It also has co-branded with Yohji Yamamoto and Raf Simons.
