PARIS, Jul 29, 2009 / FW/ — Faconnable will open three new boutiques in the U.S., beginning with its Costa Mesa, California location on July 31, 2009, the Nice-based fashion house announced today.

The completely renovated 400-square-meter Costa Mesa boutique follows the new Faconnable store concept that was developed based on the new corporate colors – blue and turquoise.

The new materials are inspired by southern France, like unfinished white oak floors in a traditional chevron pattern, honey colored oak paneling and millwork inspired by the furniture of Jean Michel Frank, one of the most renowned French decorators in the 1930’s.

Walnut floor fixtures topped with a honed limestone with a rough edge are able to evoke the stone of the Cote d’Azur. Indigo linen ottomans bring the French blue of the sea to mind, while bronze metal accents including a woven mesh are reminiscent of the local baskets. The bronze further recalls the artwork of the great French artists of this region.

The new store design is the perfect backdrop for the Faconnable style, emphasizing all colors and detailing to create the most impact on the new menswear and womenswear collections.

Following the strategy of the new brand development, Faconnable further strengthens its position in the North American market with the opening of additional two boutiques by the end of the year. Atlanta will open on August 15, 2009 and San Francisco on October 31, 2009.
