BEIRUT, Jul 20, 2009 / FW/ — Continuing its expansion in the Middle East, Missoni opened its first free-standing boutique in Beirut. The store, which measures 280 square meters spread over 2 levels will feature women’s, men’s and accessories lines.
With an impressive ivory colored fringed hanging lamp from the Missoni Home Collection welcoming customers, the ground floor houses the Women’s pre-collection, the Men’s Collection, and accessories including bags, shoes, and sunglasses.
A striking staircase with a crystal parapet that reproduces, through a special sanding technique, the historic space-dyed Missoni fabrics, leads to the first floor, which is dedicated entirely to the Women’s Collection and includes a VIP Suite allowing for total immersion into the Brand’s world and guaranteeing privacy.
Founded by husband and wife design team Rosita and Ottavio Missoni, the brand has been in existence for more than 50 years. Missoni introduced a particular way of dressing and living through diverse combinations of fabrics and patterns creating today a true lifestyle.
An optimistic approach to life, an extraordinary and personal elegance and a genial use of colors and fabrics connote the unmistakable style of Missoni.
Last May, the Italian maison opened its retail outpost in Casablanca.
