LOS ANGELES, Aug 23, 2009 / FW/ — Established in 2005, Phoenix Fashion Week turns 5 this October as 36 designers unveil their Holiday 2009 and Spring 2010 collections at the Hotel Valley Ho on October 1 -3, 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona.
The leading fashion industry event in Arizona, Phoenix Fashion Week’s continuing mission is to garner global exposure for Arizona’s fashion industry.
Incorporated since last year’s event, Fashionably Pink has become a main feature for Phoenix Fashion Week. Benefiting the Susan G. Komen Breast for the Cure Phoenix foundation, Fashionably Pink is being held on October 1, 2009 under the auspices of Dillard’s and Revolution 3D.
With local celebrities as catwalkers, which by the way include Flagstaff Mayor Sara Presler who graced the runway during the inaugural Fashionably Pink and returning this October for an encore, the charitable event is having both economic and social impacts in the community.
This October, expect 24 established designers, 12 emerging, and 6 accessory designers to present prêt-a-porter, evening, resort collections, luxury sportswear, celebrity designer, high fashion swimwear, and fashionable accessories.
Anticipated attendance is 1,000 per day, totaling 3,000 attendees for the 3-day event.
