MILAN, Sep 26, 2009 / FW/ — As much a runway show as a multi-media presentation, it is hard to decide where to look at the Jil Sander show.

Jil Sander Spring 2010

Multiple screens featuring various scenes that do not have anything to do with fashion but nonetheless very interesting, competed with the models on the catwalk wearing chiffon jumpsuits that strategically hid certain body parts while resplendently showing some, belted sheath dresses with unfinished hems and raw patchwork that were intentionally left unfinished, shorts cum petal skirt paired with a belted suit jacket to make it office wear.

Raf Simons has always been very inventive since he burst into the fashion scene more than a decade ago. Known for his innovative work on the suit jacket his stint at Jil Sander that began four years ago had cued his interest into womenswear wherein he tweaked and re-imagined traditional women’s clothing then made it his own.
