MILAN, Sep 27, 2009 / FW/ — Huge wraparound sunglasses and hair caught up in mismatched printed scarves, it could be summer anywhere in the world where you can be nonchalant about the way you look and still be ravishing.

Marni Spring 2010

Choosing geometric and floral patterns, solid colors and polychrome designs, Consuela Castiglioni pulled elements from Dr. Seuss and the Woodstock generation, morphed them to the point that though you can identify the reference, the silhouette is unmistakably Marni’s.

Mid-calf to mid-thigh leggings worn under soft flowing silk and cotton became part of a wardrobe full of textural contrasts as fabrics enriched by jacquard and devoré, linen and cotton check woven with rubber, embroideries with veiled and covered stones and suede stencil cut-out motifs were pulled together to make a modern statement.
