Nanette LeporeNEW YORK, Sep 17, 2009 / FW/ — Tropical music, colors and design details sang of sophistication from a youthful feminine spirit.

Far from the Manhattan city setting; I know I was not alone at Bryant Park when I found myself on a Nanette Lepore “vaca” somehow somewhere something fabulous.

The collection offered separates of fluid shorts and cropped pants belted and styled with bias ruffled blouses and colorfully striped cardigans.

Feminine looks were well balanced when styled with a solid masculine cropped safari jacket or linen blazer. Dresses celebrated spring in various lengths and featured occasional front seam exposed metal zippers, grommet trims or single layered bias ruffles.

Cardigans were not the only must have knits, tank dresses were offered in contrasting layered ensembles of mid length skirts. The contrast of stone and rich moss greens by bright yellow, tangerine, pink and blue were indeed nothing shy of fabulous.

However, it was the colorful floral and raindrop prints that sealed the deal. Start packing! This collection is suitcase ready, easy to wear, and exciting to mix!
