Peter Som Spring 2010NEW YORK, Sep 17, 2009 / FW/ — Bright pastels, soft dusty grays and a glistening texture made you feel as if Peter Som’s Spring 2010 collection had just stepped out of a magical storybook.

The collection was youthful and fresh but most of all it was ladylike. This group offered a great deal of depth and variety. Som gave ladies the option of tailored separates or draped skirts and dresses.

A wonderful choice of print and color combination made for a collection that will have you lost in an endless game of dress up! Shimmering solid and striped tweeds of white, red and navy overcoats or pencil skirts were styled with lime yellow and violet floral print blouses.

Short gathered skirts of soft prints with ribbon waistbands finished these looks. Presented next to powder yellow and grey print dresses, a nautical theme emerged.

Adventure grew as bright blue and pink pastels of high wasted shorts and ruffled shirts found themselves paired with horizontal stripped tensile blouses. Garments were both sophisticated and fun to wear.

I should mention that all skirts and dresses offered side seam pockets! Closing a wonderful springtime story; grays and violets grew deeper in solids and prints while coral silk blouses made details truly come to life!
