PARIS, Oct 10, 2009 / FW/ — Usually a high-concept show, Alena Akhmadullina restrained her philosophical bent this season and presented jumpsuits that is cut like pantsuits, suit jackets worn over peasant frocks, ruffled tops paired with A-line skirts or sarouels, python bolero capes and micro-mini skirts that can actually be worn as a top if you feel like it.

Alena Akhmadullina Spring 2010

Always inspired by Mother Russia, Akhmadullina’s muse this season were Russian fairytales and dance, hence the frilly dresses in voile and stylized animal imagery from the fairytales.
