Ana Locking Spring 2010MADRID, Oct 23, 2009 / FW/ — In her press notes, Ana Locking wrote:

Fashion has speeded up so much that it gives us no time to savour the creative moment or the alleged long-lasting pleasure it should give us.

Why can’t we simply enjoy it with optimism as an antidote against the worldwide crisis in which we are immersed and for creators and consumers alike to use it as a reason for dreaming in the midst of this global reality?

And “dreaming in the midst of this global reality,” Ana Locking proposed silhouettes with enhanced waistline and shoulders. She created mini dresses with volume using natural silks in organzas, muslins, dupion, taffeta and duchesse satin.

Dolman sleeves, ruffles in collars went paired with new pleats, folds and cuts in skirts, dresses and swimsuits. Colors are dramatic- impact red, magnetic blue, intense black, citrus-coloured binomial. And what do you say to tie-dye silk and metallic lycra?
