PARIS, Oct 4, 2009 / FW/ — Entitling the collection “Natural Progressive Rock”, Ennio Capasa was working on satisfying its double meaning, the first one being a natural progression of his rock & roll vision for Costume National that began with the menswear collection shown last June, then followed by the youthful line C’N’C and now the womenswear line and thus getting a trifecta in the process.

Costume National Spring 2010

The other meaning is the use of natural fiber that include hand-finished leather, cotton / silk and cotton / lurex which were all colored with vegetable dyes. In fact, Ennio Capasa is an eco-conscious designer, though he had been low-key about it.

Hence, the very modern Costume National gal is a closet eco-friendly girl; and it is hard to haphazard a guess why she is keeping it a secret. Yet, those metallic Capri pant and sleeves blouse is actually hand printed chiffon satin, the blue and black chiffon dresses are also hand printed while the textured gowns are actually washed double silk.

Calling her lovely will be an understatement… gorgeous is more like it!
