PARIS, Oct 8, 2009 / FW/ — It was restrained exuberance at Elie Saab’s as the Lebanese designer chose muted shades for Spring 2010 in conformity with his ‘Reinvented Elegance’ theme.

Elie Saab Spring 2010

A black sand catwalk, that shimmered under the klieg lights was the perfect stage setting for the graphic silhouettes and structured cuts that Elie Saab proposes for Spring 2010.

A low-key color palette of the desert sky from dusk to midnight, from soft twilight beige to sunset red from evening blues to deep midnight black, with the only print seen as a pixelated view of a starry night. This newfound restraint raised Saab’s coolness factor by several notches.
