LOS ANGELES, Oct 21, 2009 / FW/ — Unveiling her Spring 2010 collection at the Downtown Los Angeles Fashion Week, Fernanda Carneiro was seemingly inspired by California as she incorporated the West Coast’s blossoms with modern silhouettes meant for the L.A. girl.
Sorbet shades, bold floral prints and impeccably tailored dresses and separates, fit into the more sophisticated California style where dressing up is a must.
A recipient of the first annual Angel Awards Emerging Talent, Carneiro was hand-selected to participate by a jury of some of the city’s biggest names in fashion, including designer Randolph Duke, Nony Tochterman of Petro Zillia, Nick Verreos and Jeffery Sebelia of Project Runway, Louis Verdad, and Vanessa Gonzalez of “BRAVO’s Launch My Line”.
Brazilian born designer Fernanda Carneiro has been creating a stir within the fashion community since the launch of her namesake collection in 2008.
Known for her meticulously tailored bodies, impeccable construction and detailing, and penchant for refined style, Carneiro has been featured in publications including Lucky, Latino Future, and Daily Candy and worn by celebrities including Julie Benz, Roselyn Sanchez, and Melonie Diaz.
