PARIS, Oct 3, 2009 / FW/ — Continuous sleeves, metallic fabric, halter necklines on vest-inspired mini-skort dresses, knee-high stockings that are sometimes doubled, Gaspard Yurkievich took his audience to a dream world and it is not necessarily intergalactic.
It began with an ultra-modern feel, truly an understandable move since futurism is a big trend this season; then Gaspard Yurkievich changed course and went for a school-girl look which was then abruptly altered to a more mature ambiance.
The show went exactly how he planned it, a heat wave in a dream world; because just like the dream world things happen unexpectedly. And as a Gaspard Yurkievich fan, I know that “Unexpected” is his middle name!
