MADRID, Oct 28, 2009 — Roberto Torretta’s 2010 Spring-Summer Collection commits to “luminous”, applauded femininity.
It is a collection of contrasts that make up a look which is artificially slipshod yet spectacular at the same time. Brimming with naturalness, it is never perfect!
The colour palette comprises fresh greys and a range of blues, nudes and whites, which is rounded off with sophisticated blacks and touches of pinks.
The collection outlines a tight silhouette, enveloped in silk stretch satin dresses and reinvented by using drapées, tucks and gathers at necklines and in hems. Jacket suits are enriched with folds and volumes in metallised linens and cotton tweeds.
Inspiration is taken from the Greek goddesses for long jersey dresses and sheer silk blouses, evoking seductive evenings dressed by Vionnet. The look is impacted by an 80s’ style which adds “untidy perfection”.
