NEW YORK, Oct 14, 2009 / FW/ — Fans of Douglas Adams’ ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ know that dolphins are the second most intelligent species on earth, (man being the third). Internationally renowned jeweler and humanitarian, Temple St. Clair might be or might not be a fan of Douglas Adams, but she sure loves dolphins.

Temple St. Clair Tree of Life collection

An avid scuba diver and lifelong lover of marine life, Temple St. Clair partnered with Save Japan Dolphins to support its efforts to cease the capture and slaughter of dolphins in Taiji, Japan.

As recently exposed in the documentary, The Cove, dolphins in Japan are being captured and sold to captivity for the mere sake of human entertainment, or slaughtered and sold as whale meat (despite unsafe toxicity levels).

To support this cause which she holds close to her heart, Temple St. Clair will donate 40% of proceeds from the sales of all of dolphin pendants and rings from her Tree of Life collection, available exclusively at www.TempleStClair.com.
