LONDON, Nov 8, 2009 / FW/ — Since the demise of ladies tailoring at Hardy Aimes, managing director Ray Stowers wanted to offer those women left to look for a new tailor, the option of simply visiting next door.

Ray for some time sought to branch out into womenswear (having previously only offered a couple of ladies jackets) and so Aimes’s closure presented the right time to create a specialised capsule collection, which would showcase the collaborative talents of Stowers Bespoke and appeal to women looking for a tailor or couturier.

Before Stowers Bespoke opened on Savile Row, it took residence at Liberty’s where St Martins trained designer Alistair Macdonald first worked with Ray creating intricate bead work for his label. Ray moved Stowers Bespoke to Savile Row and Alistair, with a desire to one day have his own label, took a management position at a womenswear retailer to ultimately learn how to manage a business.

Having always expressed a desire to work together, Ray instinctively knew who to approach to take on womenwear at Stowers Bespoke and Alistair jumped at the chance to work with Ray on Savile Row and to launch his very own haute couture house.

Alistair and the team at Stowers Bespoke now have a beautiful range of Hollywood-glamour inspired pieces, which showcase their talents and unique offering. It includes a stunning Chanel-esque, sculpted peplum two piece skirt suit with matching accessories, a masculine 3 piece pink tweed trouser suit, a haute couture beaded, Victorian cape encrusted with Austrian crystals and a bias cut feather evening gown covered with 8000 jet black Swarovski crystals and 70 working bridal buttons down the back.

Just like Hollywood film-star fashion, which inspired the creation of this capsule collection, each piece is luxurious, glamorous and of impeccable quality, perfect for red carpet dressing or simply everyday chic living.

The collection is limited edition and not mass produced. Stowers Bespoke are genuine bespoke tailors who design and produce individual pieces to order. All Stowers Bespoke products are hand finished and manufactured in England at their showroom on 13 Savile Row, London, W1S 3NE by appointment only.

Stowers Bespoke regularly visits the Far East & Middle East including the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Brunei and Malaysia serving royalty and the international elite. Regular visits to the U.S are being planned for winter 2009.

Stowers Bespoke make complete wardrobes for their local, international and most loyal customers who trust their style counsel and craft.
